Our training places special emphasis on the human and operational challenges associated with the transition to command – including leadership, responsibility, decision-making, crew coordination, and managing operational pressure in the left-hand seat.
Fully compliant with EASA, ICAO, FAA, and CAA requirements, each programme can also be tailored to your airline’s operational environment and procedures.
A CRM Command Upgrade Course is a specialised training programme designed for experienced First Officers transitioning to the role of Captain. Typically delivered over 1–2 days, the course focuses on the non-technical skills required for operating safely and effectively in the left-hand seat.
The training covers areas such as leadership, decision-making, communication, workload management, and crew coordination – helping pilots prepare for the increased responsibilities and operational pressures associated with command.
Transitioning from First Officer to Captain requires more than technical flying skills alone. Captains must be able to lead a crew, manage operational challenges, make effective decisions under pressure, and maintain a safe and efficient flight deck environment.
This course is designed for experienced First Officers preparing to transition into the role of Captain.
As part of the Command Upgrade process, pilots are required to complete Crew Resource Management training to strengthen the leadership, communication, decision-making, and crew management skills essential for command.
This CRM Command Upgrade course is designed to give you the tools and confidence to step into the left-hand seat.
As part of the 1-day programme, you will receive
