Description
Framework – effective communication and coordination
FRAMEWORK comes with a full lesson plan which is easy to follow. The exercise can be used to highlight differences in leadership and management skills required to complete a complex task. It is efficient as a means to show “workload management techniques” and memory techniques. In particular the exercise can be used to highlight how people process and store information. It is very difficult to keep track of all information without being able to write it down. How well do humans deal with more than one piece of information at a time? What is the limit to how many pieces of information a human brain can “juggle” at a time?
The exercise explicitly shows the importance of listening to each other, as any detail written on a card can be of importance. You as the facilitator should watch the different roles the team members play at different times within a problem solving process; leadership, supporting, listening, reviewing, idea generation etc.
Last, but not least, the exercise can be used to spot behaviours and/or personality types displayed during the group’s discussions.
