Human Factors in Healthcare Introductory Course

Course overview

Our 1-day Human Factors Healthcare Introductory course is designed for medical staff and aims at promoting a basic understanding of Human Factors and their impact on patient safety.

During the course, we will identify and discuss the human factors that cause mishaps, including how fatigue and stress influence our ability to perceive information correctly, such as misreading a monitor or failing to hear an important instruction. Another cornerstone in improving patient safety is the knowledge and acceptance of leadership and management styles and their impact on information flow.

The course is suitable for all groups of medical staff or personnel within public or private healthcare organisations. We focus on strategies to enhance patient safety through effective collaboration, information sharing, communication and listening and assist you with identifying practical strategies to design error-tolerant solutions.
