What is a CRM Course in aviation?

CRM (Crew Resource Management) is a critical concept and training program within the aviation industry. CRM is not a standalone course, but a broader training approach designed to enhance communication, teamwork, decision-making, and overall crew coordination.

The topics dealt with in a CRM course include, but are not limited to, effective communication, teamwork, decision-making, situational awareness, threat and error management, and leadership.

What are the EASA requirements for Crew Resource Management trainers?

In 2022 EASA updated their policy on what it requires to be a flight crew CRM trainer. NaviMinds naturally complies with all the latest requirements:

“(1) The operator should evaluate the experience and knowledge of the flight crew CRM trainer. The evaluation of the operator should include at least:

 (i) The operational experience of the flight crew CRM trainer as a flight crew member;

(ii) Whether this experience as a flight crew member or a former flight crew member covers the aircraft category, the aircraft generation and the form of operations, as relevant to the operator.”

 – EASA AMC2.ORO.FC.146

We ensure these qualifications are met to make it as easy for you as possible to stay compliant. Certified and experienced former or current flight crew members are “lead” trainers on all our CRMT/CRMI courses.

How long is a CRM Trainer core course?

A CRMT Core course must be completed over 5 days (40 hours) of training.

How do I pay for a course?

Option 1: Reserve your seat by paying a 10% deposit upon booking. We will send an invoice for the remaining balance approximately two weeks before the course begins.

Option 2: Secure your spot by paying the full amount upfront using Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, or Mastercard.

Option 3: If you prefer to pay via invoice, please contact us to reserve your seat.

Let us know your preferred payment method, and we make sure to find a solution.

According to EASA, anyone who wants to become a CRM trainer must have completed a Human Performance and Limitations (HPL) course.

If you are a cabin crew member and want to become a CRM trainer, you must follow an HPL course before you can become eligible. Flight deck crew members who haven’t done an HPL course as part of their ATPL training must also complete this course to meet EASA’s requirements for CRM trainers.

NaviMinds makes it easier for you to meet these requirements. When you book a CRMT core course with us, you can seamlessly integrate it with our Human Performance and Limitations course for a discounted rate.

Our HPL course is thorough and designed to help you meet EASA’s standards for CRM trainers. We ensure that all topics are covered in detail and that the course content fully adheres to all EASA requirements for HPL training.

Combining these courses gives you a more in-depth and engaging learning experience. This dual course is perfect for those who want to boost their training skills and get certified faster.
